A proud Texan raised in a small town, she got her first taste of the big world at The University of Texas at Austin… then promptly circled back to marry her high school sweetheart. After 34 years of teaching Language Arts, Drama, and running a middle school library, she traded lesson plans for love stories. Now retired and living near San Antonio, Thia spends her days writing rock romance and seasoned romance filled with passion, heart, and a little Texas charm. When she's not dreaming up characters who fall hard and fast, you’ll find her camping with family, floating down a Hill Country river, chasing grandkids, or curled up with a swoony novel and her sidekick, Josie, the Chihuahua.
